Open House Days 2025 for schools at IOCB Prague

Dear teachers!

Here you can register your school group for an excursion to the Institute of Organic Chemistry and Biochemistry Czech Academy of Sciences.

School groups are welcome to come visit our laboratories on Friday, 7th of November 2025, from 9 am to 12 pm.

Scientific programs with annotations can be downloaded ahead of time HERE.

Excursions are intended for students ages 13 and older (8th grade of elementary school and 3rd grade of 8-year high schools). For practical reasons, a maximum of 12 students with a teacher (13 persons in total) may participate in each presentation. If you are planning to come with a larger group of students, please divide them into several smaller groups and book a separate program for each group. The groups can then swap programs to ensure everyone sees the same presentations.

Please, consider the number of programs you sign up for. There is no break between presentations and since there is usually no possibility to sit, you should not book more than 3 presentations in a row. You can schedule your break between excursions and spend this time in our changing room or the park in front of the building.

What to do for a proper reservation:

• In the registration form below, choose the presentations you want to see and the specific time for each one (you are making your own unique program for your students);
• Please, do not reserve multiple excursions for the same time, they should follow one after the other (you may schedule a break between presentations);
• Once the reservation is done, it cannot be cancelled, you have to contact Ms. Schropferova (see contact info below).
